If I were to tell you that marketing were the lifeblood of your business, and prove it to you right now - how astonished would you be?
Check this out.
When you "advertise" your business, you simply tell people about your business. Read that again..
You simply TELL people about your business.
I don't know about you, but there's a lot more to a business than just telling people about the darn thing.
You've got to factor in client acquistion, client retention, client referrals, advertising costs, overhead, and so forth and so on.
For you to have a profitable business, you've got to make sure you keep money coming in day after day, week after week, month after month.
And last time I checked, just telling someone you just opened up a new clothing store won't do squat for next month's profits...
However, if you give your customers a reason to do business with you in the first place and reward them for doing so, then you have the foundation for creating a customer base. And once you have the customer base, you know have the opportunity to get referrals from those customers which could possibly double your customer base - if you do it correctly.
And from there, you can make offers month after month to people who have already spent money with you to do so again - month after month.
My friend, that's the difference between "advertising" and "marketing".
Most advertising is a one shot deal. Marketing on the other hand is a non-stop deal.
Think about it...
